Here Comes The Summer
The Summer holidays are almost upon us and here at North Wales Holiday Cottages we are excited to welcome back some regular guests and meet some new ones, too!
Pen-y-Bryn, a former working farm, is set in the beautiful North Wales countryside. Our self-catering accommodation; Bluebell Cottage, Heather Cottage, Lavender Cottage, Primrose Cottage and the Farmhouse, all have free internet access and most are pet friendly – please ask for details. The cottages have 3 bedrooms which sleep 5 people and cots can also be arranged if required. The Farmhouse sleeps 14 and can also accommodate cots.
The surrounding areas offer a wealth of attractions to suit all tastes. Whether you are hoping to visit a castle or zoo, climb a mountain, undertake some extreme sports and water based activities or relax on a beach, the stunning coast of North Wales has something for everyone. We are also ideally located if you want to explore a little further afield – Llandudno, Conwy, Snowdonia, Anglesey and Chester, to name a few, are all a short drive away.
Our own little piece of heaven also has lots to offer if you are hoping to have a quiet and relaxing break. There are almost a mile of paths to walk on the farm and you might even see some of our animals along the way. We are home to miniature pigs, goats, cats, dogs, ducks and geese. They keep us busy and provide lots of entertainment for our guests – particularly our geese Sidney and Olive who have been known to knock on doors with their beaks to get our attention!
As well as having our own animals, we are often visited by local wildlife. Badgers, foxes and rabbits are frequently spotted, as are many varieties of birds. The birds spotted here have included pheasants, Canada geese, ducks, moorhens, coots, bullfinch, chaffinch, swallows, tits, sparrows, woodpeckers, owls and buzzards. At dusk, several species of bat can be seen swooping for insects. If you bring along a rod and bait, we also have a large wildlife pond which is suitable for coarse fishing.
