Throughout March and April there are some great, local events to look out for around Conwy. Whether you are looking for Mother's Day lunch or something a little different, we are sure you will find something to delight you and your family and friends. Take a look at our suggestions of some of the best things to do during your stay at Pen-y-Bryn Farm in the coming weeks. All of the places mentioned are within a 30 minute drive of our farm.
Mostyn in Llandudno will host the first North Wales Contemporary Craft Fair on the 9th of March 2019 from 10.30 am to 5pm. Present will be artists, designers, crafters and makers who will entice you with their produce in the stunning Edwardian space. Admission to the event is free, and there will also be free drop-in workshops to attend, a raffle and various prizes to win on the day. Just down the road from us in Abergele stand the partial remains of Gwyrch Castle, where a ghost hunt will take place. On the 23rd of March and the 6th of April from 8pm, Gwyrch Castle's experienced team will provide the equipment you need to explore the castle on the hunt for the old game keeper, a distressed dairy maid or possibly even the tyrannical Earl of Dundonald. From the 19th to the 24th of March, Venue Cymru in Llandudno will play host to Snooker's biggest stars in the Coral Tour Championship. The website says “Only the leading eight players on the 2018/19 season one year ranking list will qualify, so it will be an elite field of the best cue kings on the planet.” This event is brand new and Venue Cymru are proud to bring it to Llandudno. Bodnant Welsh Food are once again opening their Hayloft Restaurant for a memorable Mother's Day lunch on the 31st of March. A three course lunch costs £24.95 per person for adults and £15.95 per person for children.
