Theatr Colwyn has live shows and film screenings throughout the year, there are stunning areas of national beauty everywhere you look which have not gone unnoticed and have secured the area 8 gold awards from Wales in Bloom. You can spend your day walking through parks and gardens, doing a spot of shopping, enjoying local food and drink, riding the many local cycle routes...the list seems endless!
If you would like to take a walk around and immerse yourself in the local history, you can download one of two maps of Colwyn Bay's Heritage Trail by clicking here or collect one from Colwyn Bay Library. The trail starts at the library and takes you around various places of local interest including Rydal Penrhos School, the Queens Gardens and War Memorial and the former Metropole Hotel. Colwyn Bay was important to the war effort during the Second World War, as the government moved key staff out of London, and the Heritage Walks take you through this important part of local and national history.
There has been over £52 million spent on Colwyn Bay's regeneration so far, with over £11 million of this being spent on Porth Eirias.
