Enjoy A Fun Filled Day Out During Your Holiday At Pen-y-Bryn Farm

Pen-y-Bryn Farm is lucky to be surrounded by so many wonderful and diverse events and great places to spend a few hours enjoying yourself with loved ones. Whether you love the great outdoors, enjoy keeping busy or love a country pub with a roaring fire, there is something for everyone in North Wales. Read on to discover a taste of what's on within an hour of our holiday cottages in January.

One of our local theatres, Venue Cymru in Llandudno, will be hosting Take pART 9 on the 13th and 14th of January, 2018. This incredibly popular weekend of workshops is around a 30 minute drive from us and expects 10,000 visitors throughout the course of the two days as it returns for its 9th year. Workshops are hugely varied and include art and craft sessions, acting, a choir, STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) activities and lots more. Entry to Venue Cymru is free for this event, however some of the workshops are asking for a minimum donation of £1 to be made on the day. Techniquest Glyndwr in Wrexham is a science discovery centre which is around a forty minute drive from Pen-y-Bryn Farm. Aimed at children of all ages, the centre boasts a variety of fun activities and lots of ways to discover science for yourself. There are over 60 interactive exhibits and differently themed rooms which change throughout the year. They also have an astronomy club and a lego challenge club. You can visit the 60 seat theatre to watch a science show and on certain days there is discounted admission for toddler time. The centre is open daily and admission costs are as follows: Adults £7, children £6, concessions £6, age 3 and under visit for free and a family ticket for any 4 visitors costs £24. Also based in Wrexham and around a 30 minute drive from us, The Boardroom is a climbing and bouldering centre which offers a variety of ways to get and stay fit and try different climbing based activities. Whether you are a beginner, have a little experience or are a seasoned climber, there is something for every taste and ability. There are classes and safety sessions available and anybody of any age is welcome to have a go. Families are welcome here and the staff are on hand to help with any queries you may have.
