Christmas in Wales is truly a special time of year. Our Christmas markets are a sight to behold, with aromas of mulled wine alongside traditional Welsh fayre, there is something for everyone. Spend some time exploring and be swept up in the magical atmosphere. The following are just a taste of the Christmas events happening across North Wales during December.

  • Conwy Winterfest is open to all on Saturday the 9th of December from 4-7pm. There will be a torch lit procession with knights and their ladies from 5.45pm, and throughout the evening there will be street entertainers, musicians, choirs, sword fighting and the famous Clerical Error Black Face Morris Dancers will return.   • On the 9th and 10th of December, Surf Snowdonia will host a hip and happening Christmas market celebration right at the edge of the surf lagoon. Father Christmas will be visiting, there will be free arts & crafts and free bouncy castle to keep the children happy, Christmas movies at the drive-in and traders, festive food and drinks and more.   • Bodafon Farm Park in Llandudno are hosting a fabulous Christmas fun day on the 16th of December. Expect lots of fun for all the family, kids crafts and games, fully accessible Santa's Grotto, festive photo booth, treasure hunt, entertainment, a famous character visit and a range of well stocked stalls.   • Until the 23rd of December, Gwrych Castle in Abergele has a very special guest visitor! Meet Father Christmas in the old bakehouse, which has been transformed into a winter wonderland. Tickets are priced at £10 per child, which includes a gift, and the whole experience is packed into an hour time slot. For more information, please click here.

  • If you fancy a Christmas show, there are several to choose from including: Sleeping Beauty at Rhyl Pavilion Theatre, Beauty and the Beast at Theatr Colwyn in Colwyn Bay and Peter Pan at Venue Cymru in Llandudno. Click on the links for more details.

  • For something a little different, why not challenge yourself at Ultimate Escape Games Rooms in Llandudno or Locked In in Abergele? Once the festivities are over and done with and you have an extra few Christmas pounds to shift, Pen-y-Bryn Farm is a great place to help you kick start your New Year's Resolutions!
