Abergele is our nearest town, located just 3 miles away from our Farmhouse and Holiday Cottages. Visitors often ask us what there is to do locally when they come and stay with us, so here are some of our most local attractions you might enjoy during your stay with us.

Abergele Beach

Abergele has a beautiful Beach, with a small Promenade, Outdoor Exercise and Play area, Gift shop, Arcades, Bingo and Cafe's. There is plenty of Free parking and you can even drive onto the beach if you like. Popular with Families, Fishermen and Dog walkers, Abergele and Pensarn Beach looks out over the Irish Sea. There is a dedicated Cycle track that you can pick up here and follow along the coast to visit local towns like Rhyl and Prestayn or in the opposite direction, Colwyn Bay, Rhos on Sea, Llandudno and Conwy.

Just a short walk over the bridge and you’ll come across Pentre Mawr Park. The park is a beautiful spot for a picnic and feeding the ducks, often hosting local events such as the Fair and Festival it is also used by the local Cricket, Rugby and Football Teams for practice. But don’t worry there is plenty of room for everyone. The Park path that runs around the perimeter is a mile long. The park has a large play area with Climbing frames, Swings and Spinners and a Football & Basketball area and Tennis court, plus a Skate park area with ramps.

Abergele town centre is a 2 minute walk away, with shops, cafes and one of Abergeles newest attractions: Locked In. If you enjoy puzzles, this is the place for you. With 5 themed puzzle rooms, you have an hour to crack the clues and escape. With varying difficulty levels you can choose from themes including Mad Scientist, Prisoner of War and CSI, each team can contain up to 6 people. Booking required. If you are an animal lover then you shouldn’t miss Manorafon Farm park. You can meet the Farm Animals, Learn about Farm life and visit the new soft play area. You can even book one of the special farm experiences, birthday party’s or be a Farmer for a day (Booking required). Gwrych Castle

Whilst strolling around Abergele, you will not be able to miss the remains of Gwrych Castle as it sits in the hills watching over the town. The Castle has open days throughout the year when the public can visit and learn about its history. A warm welcome awaits you at our local Golf course in Betws yn Rhos village, just 2 miles from our self catering Farmhouse and Holiday cottages. Silver Birch pay and play golf course is open most days depending on the weather. The club often hosts tournaments between local teams and is popular with locals and visitors to the area. Choose from 9 or 18 holes, with golf club hire available too. If traditional Golf's not your thing, why not try Foot Golf? Find out more or book your place http://silverbirchgolfclub.co.uk/ The village of Betws Yn Rhos also has a Post office and shop with friendly staff – A great place to stop for a newspaper, ice cream or a drink if you decide to walk down for a stroll. The Wheatsheaf pub is just around the corner in the centre of Betws Yn Rhos Village and serves food most days and has occasional live entertainment.
