Five Local Areas To Visit Around Pen-y-Bryn Farm


Whether you are planning your first stay with us in North Wales or are coming back for more, tripadvisors' top five popular destinations in North Wales can all be reached from our Farm by car within an hour. With so many great places to visit, you'll never want to leave!

Llandudno. With its award winning beaches, stunning views and family friendly attractions, Llandudno is a popular seaside resort with plenty to offer the whole family. There is a pier, arcade and traditional punch and Judy on the promenade. With shops, pubs, cafes, a theatre, the mad hatters trail and lots more, Llandudno is a 30 minute drive from our holiday cottages and is not to be missed!

Wrexham. Set between the Welsh mountains and Dee Valley, Wrexham is a hub of activity. With a racecourse, aqueduct, historic town centre buildings, several clusters of retail outlets and lots more, this former mining town is another must see when you stay with us in North Wales. Wrexham centre is a 50 minute drive from our holiday cottages and farmhouse.

Caenarfon. Famous for its mighty castle, Caenarfon is a 50 minute drive from Pen-y-Bryn Farm. With history seeping out of every nook and cranny, the walled Royal Town of Caenarfon is a favourite with visitors from all over the world. Spend time walking the narrow town centre streets, visit the waterfront or people watch from one of the many eateries. However you choose to spend your day, Caernarfon is a winner with every age group.

Rhyl. Just a ten minute drive from our farm, Rhyl is a seaside resort with a long history of families enjoying a sunny day on the beach, strolling through the many shops and buying a stick of rock to take home. Rhyl is undergoing a transformation, with £4.5M being spent on regenerating the waterfront. Watch this space for more information!

Bangor. The oldest Town in North Wales, Bangor is famous for its University, Cathedral and love of classical music. Although the Town has a large number of students from all over the world, you will still meet plenty of Welsh speakers on your visit. With pubs, restaurants and shops alongside a scenic waterfront, Bangor is a 40 minute drive away and a great place to spend a day while you are staying with us at Pen-y-Bryn Farm.
