Family Holiday Diary - Part Five

Wednesday

We are off out for a day in Llandudno. The weather is glorious and as soon as we park the car (lots of parking spaces on the sea front and only £3 for the day) the girls run straight to the pebbled beach. The pebbles are beautiful. So many different sizes, colours and patterns. I think the girls would happily spend the whole day looking at them all! We are planning to head to the pier later on but first we go into the centre to have some lunch.

Pebbles Cafe catches our eye. We go inside and the place is lovely. It's so clean and you can smell the quality of the food. We order fish, chips, chicken nuggets, beans on toast and tea, coffee and fruit juice. The food is cooked fresh to order and every table is full. The waitress is friendly and helpful and our drinks are brought over straight away. Everybody enjoys their food and the bill for five meals and seven drinks is around £35. We would definitely eat here again in the future.

After lunch we make our way to the pier. The children can't wait to go into the arcade. The girls play lots of different games and win lots of tickets that they can exchange for prizes. The favourite game seems to be Flappy Bird which gives out lots of tickets! After an hour spending all of their money, the girls exchange their tickets for prizes. The prizes are good quality and the lady in the arcade is friendly and very patient while the girls choose their prizes.

Tea time and back to The Bull Hotel in Abergele. Creatures of habit, the girls have spaghetti bolognese and chicken nuggets and I have the blue cheese burger. My husband has two starters instead of a main meal as he can't decide. He opts for a prawn cocktail and the soup of the day which is pea and honey glazed gammon. My mum is served up the biggest bowl of chilli and rice she has ever seen and my dad has scampi. Everyone is happy – the food is delicious and the atmosphere is great. Sad that this will be our last meal here for a while.
