Family Holiday Diary - Part Two

Sunday
After our traditional first morning full English breakfast, we go and feed the animals some grass pellets. This time we are introduced to the animals by Jay who is giving the animals their breakfast. The pygmy goats are called Poppy, Billy, Garry and Luci, and the sheep are called Rambo and Lenny Junior. We also meet the three pigs Winston, Kush and Babe. We've had a lovely hour with the animals. Now it's time to go exploring!
About two miles drive from Pen-y-Bryn Farm we find a great park. There are different sections including a skate park and basketball court but we head towards the playground instead. The park has something for everyone and our three children head to different areas – the swings, a small climbing frame and a large climbing net with a slide. Within five minutes, the kids are spinning me around in a spinning dish. It's fun but nausea inducing so I return to the safety of the park bench where I slowly stop feeling like I'm spinning!
As we leave the park after an hour spent happily in the sunshine, a friendly dog catches the kids eye and the owner is happy to let them stroke the dog for a few minutes. Our youngest is usually quite nervous around dogs at first but she sits right down and the dog immediately cuddles up to her. After a brief chat we learn that the dog was born blind and is usually a little hesitant too. The lady offers to let us take a picture so that our youngest can remember how comfortable she was with the dog.
After a spot of shopping, it's back to the farm so the girls can visit the animals again! It's almost tea time so while tea is cooking the girls take a walk and play in the sunshine. Sidney and Olive the geese are out of the pond and walking around so the girls get a good look at them before retreating to play football and rest on one of the benches around the pond.
