See Out 2015 In Fine Style With Pen-y-Bryn
During your visit to Pen-y-Bryn Farm this December, there are a variety of events taking place. Below are a few suggestions to give you a taste of activities that are within a 45 minute drive of our holiday cottages and farmhouse.
Strictly Come Dancing star Robin Windsor and Llandudno favourite John Evans will be performing in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs at Venue Cymru this December. Opening on December 10th and closing on New Years Eve, this panto is sure to help you see out 2015 with a smile! This year sees the return of the Elves' Workshops to Bodnant Garden! Your family will get to visit the elves, make a natural decoration to hang on your tree and maybe toast some marshmallows on the fire, too! The events will take place on Saturday the 12th and Sunday the 13th of December, from 11am – 3pm, and Saturday the 19th and Sunday the 20th of December, from 11am – 3pm at the National Trust, Bodnant Garden. Opening on the 11th December and running until the 15th of January 2016, Rhyl Pavilion will be playing host to the timeless classic, Cinderella. With the X-Factors Rhydian as Prince Charming, singer Sonia as the Fairy Godmother, Wales' own Sean Jones as Buttons and Emma Nowell as Cinderella, this is one Christmas event you won't want to miss! For something a little different, there will be a Children's Christmas Campfire at RSPB Conwy Nature Reserve. The website says 'Help collect wood from around the nature reserve, then together we will build a campfire, showing you how to light the fire and how to look after it safely. Next it's time to toast some marshmallows and making a gooey treat called a "S'more"? Remember to wrap up warm! There may be time for a Christmas story around the campfire too! Booking essential.' Finally, there are three local markets that will be held during the final weeks leading up to Christmas. Selling items such as hand-made goods, gifts, plants, preserves and refreshments, you are sure to find something to interest you.
