Enjoy Father's Day With Pen-y-Bryn

Here at Pen-y-Bryn, our guests have got a lot to look forward to this Father's Day. Our cottages and Farmhouse are all self catering and two of the cottages and the farmhouse itself are pet friendly. The fully stocked kitchens have all the pots and pans you will need to provide the man of the day with a celebratory breakfast or even a Sunday roast if you fancy it. But of course, you won't be obliged to stay in and cook.

There are plenty of things to try in the local area and, with some help from the lovely people over at visitwales.com, we have a few ideas to tempt you to explore the best that North Wales has to offer.

Silver Birch Golf and Footgolf Club in Betws yn Rhos is popular with small and large groups alike. Like golf, the object of footgolf is to get the ball into the hole in the fewest number of shots. Unlike golf, you use your feet and a size 5 football to play! Silver Birch 'has become the most popular 'Pay & Play' course on the North Wales golfing scene. Situated in the picturesque rural village, enjoy stunning views of the sea and mountains from both courses. Designed with amateurs in mind, Silver Birch has matured to challenge even the low handicap player whilst still being accessible for beginners.'

Next up, 4x4 Events UK offer Jeep driving experiences. Their website says '4x4 Events UK is the UK’s only official Jeep off-road driving centre on a 90 acre site set on the prestigious Kinmel Estate, Abergele, North Wales. The centre caters for all, from complete beginners who want to experience the exciting world of off-road driving to advanced drivers wanting formal training. Drive around the countryside track in a choice of the latest Jeep vehicles - Grand Cherokee, Cherokee, Wrangler and Renegade.'

Afternoon sessions at 4x4 Events UK are fully booked, but one hour taster sessions and morning (half day) sessions are still available. For more information visit www.4x4events.co.uk.

If you don't fancy cooking, why not try some local cuisine? Bodnant Welsh Food in Conwy offer the chance for visitors to 'buy and eat the very best artisan Welsh food products- and even see it being carefully crafted by experts. We’re passionate about Traditional Welsh food with real taste, crafted with respect for the countryside and the animals and the people who live in it. Enjoy it in our Farm Shop, a meal in the Hayloft Restaurant or even tea in the Furnace Tea Room.'

Our final suggestion is a firm favourite in Conwy, The Albion Pub. This is a pub with the community at its heart and the locals love it. Visitors from all over the world have recommended this pub on numerous websites and it is CAMRA's Pub of The Year 2015. Quite a fan club! Their facebook page says 'a unique 1920's pub where four local breweries work together to offer the highest quality ales. Wales' pub of the year 2013.'

We have only scratched the surface with our suggestions here, North Wales really does have it all. From beaches to castles, eateries to railways and bird watching to nightlife, there is always something to look forward to when you stay with us at Pen-y-Bryn Farm. We look forward to welcoming you.
