Read on to find out what events are taking place at one of Pen-y-Bryn Farm's local nature reserves during November.

On the 2nd of November, there will be a pond dipping session. Discover what creatures live in the pond with this hands on learning activity! No booking is required for this event. Free Play Friday is always a popular event for young children and their families. Come along and try your hand at den building, or play with bubbles, hoops and chalks. There will be a fundraising event held on Saturday the 4th and Sunday the 5th of November. From 10am–4pm, come along and have a browse at Julia's Big Book Sale! This event will be run by Julia Hamilton whose second hand book sales raise thousands of pounds each year to support the important work of the RSPB. There will also be second hand complete jigsaws for sale. Entry to the event is free but if you wish to walk around the nature reserve, standard entry fees apply to non members.

Also on Saturday the 4th of November, you can take part in the Saturday Wildlife Walk. Join the volunteer wildlife guides for a friendly and informative two-hour walk around the nature reserve, during which you will see some of the birds and other wildlife that have made this stunning nature reserve their home. From 11am–1pm, normal reserve entrance charges apply to non-members plus a small additional fee for this event of £2 per adult and £1 per child. No experience required – all are welcome! Saturday Wildlife Walks will be held every Saturday until the 30th of December 2017, then begin again in March 2018.
