Dog Friendly Days Out In North Wales


When you are planning your next break and looking for somewhere that your pet will be as welcome as you are, Pen-y-Bryn Farm is an ideal choice. Two of our four holiday cottages, Bluebell Cottage and Primrose Cottage, and our large Farmhouse, welcome well behaved pets and our farm has plenty of space to stretch their legs while you take in the splendid views of the North Wales Countryside. If you would like to venture further afield, we have some suggestions for a day out to remember.

If your pet pooch is a fan of travelling, try a river cruise with Conwy Sightseeing Cruises. Take a ride on either the Princess Christine or the Queen Victoria and see local historical points of interest, stunning views, local wildlife and more. The knowledgeable crew will point out lots of places of interest and keep you entertained throughout your time on board. For sightseeing cruises, the prices are as follows: Adults £6.50; OAP/Student £6.00; Children £3.50; Under 5's free. Dogs are always welcome, free of charge. Owned by The National Trust, Bodnant Garden Centre & Gift Shop and Bodnant Craft Centre always welcome well behaved pets. The Garden Centre has a good range of plants available, with some species that are unique to Bodnant. The Garden Centre is open all year round. Opening times are 9:00am to 5:30pm Monday to Saturday and 10:00am to 5:30pm on Sunday. Entry is free.

Please note that although Bodnant Garden Centre and Bodnant Craft Centre are adjacent to Bodnant Garden, Dogs are only permitted in Bodnant Garden on set days, with the exception of service dogs in a harness. The Great Orme in Llandudno is a firm favourite with our guests and with the views it boasts it's not hard to see why! There are stunning views of Llandudno from wherever you are on the Great Orme. On a clear day, you can see as far as the Isle of Man and the Lake District from the top. Whether you want to ride up and down on the tram, walk up and down or combine the two, dogs are always welcome. Dogs are permitted on the tram at a cost of £1 per dog, with assistance dogs riding for free. All dogs must be kept on a lead during the tram ride. For return journeys, the ticket prices are as follows: Adults £6.50; Children (3 to 16) £4.50; We have special discounts for Schools and Groups of 10 or more.
